Susie Stone: The dress designer with a difference!

I’m not quiet about the fact that I simply adore to go wedding dress shopping. As a Wedding Planner I am luckier than most to be able to indulge in this passion {read: obsession} but even for me I don’t get to do it nearly enough, so receiving designer’s new collection in my inbox is {nearly} as good a fix.

Susie Stone isn’t a designer I was familiar with until her latest collection landed in my inbox earlier in the week, but then again I couldn’t possibly know all the terrific designers out there {yet!}. But from now on I will be following her closely {not least because I am absolutely IN LOVE with her studio!}

The bumf that came with Susie’s collection says ‘The collection evokes drama and confidence with striking silhouettes and exquisite materials for a bride who knows her own style and wants to stand out from the crowd.’ What struck me instantly though was how utterly unassumingly feminine the dresses are…

The dresses, clearly beautifully cut and tailored, seem effortless in their beauty and while very distinctive, also very wearable!  Susie has approached bespoke bridal with a fearless flair that defies the clichéd aesthetic of conventional bridal wear but still created a very bridal wedding dress… All in all… I’m utterly impressed!

I can really see how Susie would truly work wonderfully with brides who really know their own style and want to create something totally unique.

P.s. am utterly in love with The Vivien… could this be the dress I wear for my vowel renewal? What do you think?
